State COVID cases continue upward trend

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Thursday reported 3,126 new cases. That is the first day over 3,000 since late February.

The state reported 772 residents hospitalized, an increase of 14 from Wednesday. Those in intensive care units numbered 81.

Updated figures for Thursday for individual counties were not immediately available.

The state reported nine new deaths as the Clinton County figure was listed at 127.
