Free shoes for kids on April 23

Eligible kids and teens can choose a pair of free new shoes Saturday, April 23 at the Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank, open 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Appointments are required, and everyone must wear a mask. Kids and teens, up to age 18, must live in Clinton County or the Liberty-Curtin School attendance area, and have a PA Access card, CHIP insurance card, or similar insurance card.

The Shoe Bank operates inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

For your time slot, call or text Diahann at 814-571-5324 (Monday-Friday 7-9 p.m., please). If you are ill or cannot make your appointment, please let her know. There is often a waiting list.
