Wednesday report: State COVID deaths spike
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 7,301 new COVID-19 cases.
Hospitalizations across the state totaled 4,648, down 46 from Tuesday, while those in intensive care units numbered 947, down 17 from Tuesday.
Clinton County reported 34 new cases for a total of 6,440 cases. In Centre County 90 new cases were recorded for a total of 24,115. Lycoming County added 63 new cases for a total of 20,774.
The state Wednesday reported 259 new deaths, the highest one-day total since late January of this year. The death count in Clinton County remained at 98.
