WILLIAMSPORT, PA – A Nebraska woman has gone into federal court, seeking monetary damages the result of injuries she received in a massive pile-up on Interstate 80 on Dec. 16, 2020 in Clinton County.

Bianca Armbruster of Northport, NEB is seeking damages in excess of $75,000, claiming three truckers and an SUV operator failed to operate their vehicles at a safe speed on I-80, part of a 64-vehicle pile-up near the Greene – Lamar Township line.

According to information from pennlive.com, Armbruster was one of 22 people injured in the multiple crashes. Her suit says her vehicle was run over by two trucks and she was trapped for six hours and emergency responders had to open an airway so she could breathe until freed. She was later taken to UPMC Williamsport for treatment of multiple injuries.

Armbruster is suing the drivers of four out-of-state rig operators and an SUV driver from DuBois, charging them with negligence.

One person was killed in the crash, another died from cardiac arrest, authorities said.
