Seniors Prevail over Juniors 71-55 in Powder Puff 2013
Jena Toner Dominates Underclassman with Her Speed
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was a great night for football Monday at Malinak Stadium as the annual Powder Puff Football Games was held. Each year girls from the junior and senior classes face off for bragging rights in the fund-raiser that benefits the Wildcat baseball and softball programs. Each edition of the event is exciting and entertaining, the 2013 edition was no exception as the seniors (class of 2014) prevailed 71-55 over the juniors (class of 2015) in an offensive performance that would have humbled any veteran statistician. With nearly 1,000 in paid attendance, the ladies of the gridiron did not disappoint their fans. The girls are coached by their class mates from the Wildcat football team and faculty volunteers.Record photos – Butch Miller
Juniors Had Plenty of Offense of Their Own
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – With plenty of talent to go around, the Class of 2015 was able to score plenty of point on their own, unfortunately they could not find an answer to Toner’s speed to keep the seniors in check. With the talents of Rebecca Leuthold, Bryann Hilty, Jessica Strouse and Gabby Martin (to name a few) the Class of 2016 should probably start their strategy sessions early for Powder Puff 2014.
