State COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday reported 4,395 new COVID-19 cases statewide, some 19-hundred below the Sunday figure which had been the highest one-day figure since mid-April.

The state said there are 2.776 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, down 24 from Sunday. Of those hospitalized 672 are in intensive care units, up three from Sunday; 278 reported on ventilators, up three from the previous day.

In Clinton County 20 new cases were reported on Monday, bringing the total to 4,435. Centre County saw an increase of 32 on Monday to 19,554, while Lycoming County increased by 64 to 14,729.

12 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 71.
