Saturday FFF Follies relocated to Festival lot
RENOVO, PA – Citing a lesser amount of acts this year, the Flaming Foliage Festival committee has announced the relocation of the annual Follies event from Bucktail High School to the Festival lot at 12th Street on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m.
The committee said there will be no charge to attend and attendees are encouraged to bring a chair with assurances they will enjoy the show.
The Follies schedule will include the introduction of the festival hostesses, the 2022 Laurel representative and Miss Bucktail. The Future Queen and Future Escort contestants will be in attendance and the winners announced.
Other participants will include the Bucktail cheerleaders, the Homecoming Court, Turbulance routines, Charly Kepler, Terry O’Laughlin and the Bucktail Drumline.
Meanwhile planning continues for the 72nd Flaming Foliage Festival set for Oct. 8, 9 and 10. A major change this year sees the queen events consolidated to one day, Saturday, Oct. 9, over COVID concerns. The arts and craft events will again be held all three days at the FFF lot on 12th Street. The parade remains scheduled for that Saturday, beginning at 1:45 p.m.
