COVID cases in central Pennsylvania continue upward
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday reported 4,500 new COVID-19 cases statewide. That is a drop of more than 1,100 from Saturday. But the numbers continue to increase across the mid-state.
In Clinton County 28 new cases were reported on Sunday, bringing the total to 4,146. The 28 cases follows 30 new cases reported on Friday, the highest one-day total since spring. Centre County saw an increase of 67 on Sunday to 18,765, while Lycoming County increased by 98 to 13,701. For Lycoming County that is the highest one-day increase since spring; 96 new cases had been reported there on Saturday.
17 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 69 through Saturday.
