Lady ‘Cats Honor Seniors with 5-2 Win
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – In a one-sided effort, the Lady Wildcat tennis squad dispatched visit Clearfield 5-2 on senior night.
Leading the way in singles action, the top four players defeated their Lady Bison counterparts in straight sets. Jolee McCluskey defeated Clearfield’s Rachel Homan 6-2, 6-1. Quinn McCluskey edged Maggie Sopic 7-6, 6-3. Rachel Wasilko downed Taylor Wisor 6-2, 6-1. 4 Kristina Fenner bested Sarah Hazel 6-2, 6-1.
The lone loss in singles came in a very tight match with Clearfield’s Arianne Good was able to hold off Tateana Abdullah 7-5, 7-5.
In doubles action Lady Wildcats Cassie Lageman and Chelsie Miller were able to fend off Rachel Homan and Maggie Sopic 8-7 in a hard-fought contest.
To close out the action, Clearfield’s Taylor Wisor and Sarah Hazel were victorious over CM’s Sadie Breon and Mykyla Rowley 8-4.
