COVID cases jump 15 in Clinton County
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 4,812 new COVID-19 cases across the state, a jump of more than 1,000 from Tuesday.
In Clinton County 15 new cases were reported on Wednesday, bringing the total to 4,046. The jump in cases is the largest one-day hike during the recent uptick in the county; only one new case had been reported on Tuesday. Centre County saw an increase of 108 to 18,552, while Lycoming County increased by 46 to 13,353.
There are 2,333 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 statewide, up 25 from Tuesday. Of that number, 564 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19, down 16 from Tuesday. 280 were on ventilators, up nine from the previous day. .
45 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 69 through Tuesday.
