LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton Junior softball coach Kevin Tripp says he is not sure what to expect when his team begins play in the Pennsylvania Little League Junior Division Championship in Berwick this Thursday.

Tripp said he feels good about the talent on his team but knows next to nothing on the other five teams seeking the state title. Clinton will begin tourney play Thursday with a 1 p.m. game against Caln from the Reading area. Other teams participating are Lakeland, Marion Center, Plymouth and host Berwick. The tournament bracket lists the event lasting into Sunday, but Tripp said the games may be consolidated into fewer days.

Coach Tripp said his team comes from players who played against each other from Lock Haven, Beech Creek and Renovo. The team also was able to have competition against Williamsport and Montgomery and he said most team members also have played considerable travel ball this season.

Coach Tripp is assisted by Ryan Andrus and Bill Harrison. Therecord-online plans audio streaming coverage of Keystone and Clinton state tourney games.
