Veltri returns at CM girls’ soccer coach

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Ryan Veltri is back as head coach of the Central Mountain girls’ soccer program. His hiring was approved by the Keystone Central School Board at its meeting Thursday night. He replaces Jeff Brinker who resigned earlier this year.

The district released information on the hire after the board meeting:

The Keystone Central School District and Central Mountain High School are pleased to announce Mr. Ryan Veltri as our new Head Girl’s Soccer Coach. The Keystone Central Board of Education, student-athletes, community members, and school administrators interviewed Mr. Veltri and determined he was the right fit for the position.

Mr. Veltri was previously the girls’ soccer coach from 2005 – 2014. He earned Coach of the Year four times in the Mountain Athletic Conference. The team was Mountain League Champions in (07, 08, 09) all undefeated seasons. His teams were five times Conference and Divisional Champions (06, 07, 08, 09, 10) and *Independent (12, 13) – The Central Mountain High School under his leadership was a District 6 Champion/PIAA State Semi-Finalist in 2006.

A stakeholder survey showed that many returning girls’ soccer players want a coach that provides a safe environment for them to grow on and off the field. We believe that Mr. Veltri will provide that welcoming culture and more to our program. In addition to years of experience, Mr. Veltri aims to bring a pool of talented Central Mountain alumni interested in returning in a coaching capacity.

Mr. Veltri states, “I am extremely excited to be returning to the Lady Wildcat Soccer Program. I look forward to building upon the tradition outlined in the past, working with fantastic student-athletes, coaches, boosters, and administration. We will lean heavily on the alumni to create a positive environment in hopes of being dynamic. I can’t wait to get things started.”
