COVID-19 Update: Statewide Surge Continues; Clinton Up 22
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health Friday confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., November 20, that there were 6,808 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 295,786. The number is second highest one-day total, exceeded only by Thursday’s 7,125 new cases.
There were 108 new deaths reported on Friday for a total of 9,689 deaths attributed to COVID-19. The number of deceased is the third highest on record; deaths surpassing 100 each of the last three days.
Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 22 to 490; Centre County, up 91 to 5,502; Lycoming up 47 to 1,580. Other area counties include Cameron, 17; Clearfield, 1,076; Potter, 125; and Union, 1,187 (a jump of 103).
There were 5,691 Clinton County residents with negative test results, an increase of 42 from Thursday.
