COVID-19 Update: Statewide Surge Continues; Clinton Jumps 19; Centre, Up 62; Lycoming, Up 57
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health Tuesday confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., November 17, that there were 5.900 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 275.513.
There were 30 new deaths reported on Tuesday for a total of 9,355 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 19 to 421 (the largest one-day jump to date); Centre County, up 62 to 5,240; Lycoming up 57 to 1,398. Other area counties include Cameron, 16; Clearfield, 874 (a jump of 35); Potter, 110; and Union, 1,031.
There were 5,583 Clinton County residents with negative test results, an increase of 42 from Monday.
