Evelyn A. Mazza – Obituary
Evelyn A. Mazza, 95, of Lock Haven passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at The Gatehouse of UPMC-Divine Providence.
Born February 20, 1925 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Spizziri) Mazza.
She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School.
Over the years, Evelyn was employed by Sylvania, Piper Aircraft and then Clinton County Assistance Office, retiring in 1988.
Evelyn was a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Parish, attending St. Agnes Catholic Church. She prayed the Rosary faithfully and offered many prayers to St. Anthony.
In her younger years, she enjoyed needlepoint, flower gardening, taking walks and baking various cookies.
Surviving is her niece who cared for her, Connie (Bruce) Wolfe of Castanea and her children, Rev. Father Michael Wolfe, serving the Queen of Archangels Parish, Clarence and Matthew (Emily) Wolfe of Altoona and their children, Julia and Ben. Also surviving are her local nieces and nephews: Cindy Mayes, David Mayes, Gregory Mayes and Debbie Mazza as well as several nieces and nephews from out-of-town.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and seven sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven with her great nephew, Rev. Father Michael Wolfe, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven.
Friends and family will be received at the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven on Thursday from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M.
