COVID-19 Update: Statewide Surge Sets New Record; Clinton, Up 14; Centre, Up 89; Lycoming, Up 32

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health Thursday confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., Nov. 12, that there were 5,488 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 248,856. The additional positive cases, for the third day in a row, mark the highest one-day total to date. There were 9,194 total deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the Thursday report; that represents an increase of 49 from Wednesday.

Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 14 to 363; Centre County, up 89 to 4,857; Lycoming up 32 to 1,205. Other area counties include Cameron, 16; Clearfield, 711 (a jump of 41); Potter, 87; and Union, 901 (a jump of 33).

There were 5,456 Clinton County residents with negative test results, an increase of 28 from Wednesday.
