Kenneth R. Caris Sr. – Obituary

Kenneth R. Caris Sr., of Howard, died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Mount Nittany Hospital.

Born on November 1, 1957 in Lock Haven, He was the son of the late Dale and Anna K. (Packer) Caris.

He proudly served in the United States Army.

Kenny started working at a young age for Bob Bair’s Garage.  He also worked at American Color & Chemical, Neese’s Chemical, Larry Glenn Construction, and Condo’s Welding.

Kenny enjoyed family gatherings and made the best-baked beans.  He loved the Andy Griffin Show and his favorite The Price is Right. He often would get upset when the contestants would not pick the numbers or products he would call out because he was always right!  He rooted for Penn State, Redskins and Mets.  Kenny enjoyed fishing with his brother Tim and nephew Todd.

He will be terribly missed by his children and his brothers and sisters, and all his neighbors at Ridge Crest Manor.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth Jr., Christopher, Michelle, and Jamie and his grandchildren: Austin, Carter, Rileigh, Maverick, Natia, Tyleigh, Khloe, Christopher Jr., Nick, Keagan, and Hunter.

Also surviving are his siblings: Dale (Linda) Caris, Tim Caris, Debra (Curt) Poorman, and Melissa (David) Rockey; many nieces and nephews; an Uncle, Thomas (Pauline) Packer; cousins; and his fur buddy, Jack.

In addition to his parents, one brother, David L. Caris, grandson Kenneth R. Caris III, and a beloved fur buddy Boomer preceded Kenny in death.

There will be no public visitation and service will be held at the convenience of the family.
