Joe Waltz
A Uniter Not A Divider
Editor:
I am writing this letter in support of Joe Waltz for State Representative of the 76th District. I am one of the few people that have known Joe in many different settings. When Joe began teaching at Lock Haven High School in 1973, I was fortunate to be in one of Joe’s classes during his first year. He was serious when he needed to be and I remember that he always had a way of inserting humor into the lesson to get the point across. Joe was the type of person that you always wanted to keep in contact with because he remembered you even after you graduated from high school. Fast forward – marriage, three boys, school and interaction with Mr. Waltz, the teacher again. He had the same impact on our boys that he had on me when I was in school. One thing that stuck out in my mind was that I don’t ever remember him raising his voice. He always had a fair way of getting students to work together to get the job done. I believe that unity, fairness and leadership will work well in his endeavors in this new position. Joe knows the importance of quality education and his endorsement by the Pennsylvania State Education Association is a testament to this.
I have been involved in the Democratic Party for 25+ years. I worked alongside Joe as a member of this party. I became one of the Vice-Chairs and when Joe became Chairman of the Party, it was a pleasure to work with him in a different capacity. While he was Chairman of the party, he realized the importance of raising income for our middle class, economic fairness and the need to create good paying jobs for our area.
Knowing Joe personally for well over 40 years, I can say with all my heart that Joe Waltz is the person to lead our 76th District as the State Representative and be our voice in Harrisburg. Please vote for Joe Waltz – regardless of what your party affiliation is – Joe Waltz will do what is right for everyone!
