Jaycees Labor Day “Celebration” Up and Running
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven Area Jaycees “Labor Day Celebration” is underway along the E. Water Street midway and at the adjacent Corman Amphitheater.
The Jaycees had to modify their annual end of summer event due to COVID-19 when the virus made the staging of the powerboat races impossible for this year.
Instead of a regatta, this year it is a “celebration” with vendors galore on Water Street and two days of music on the amphitheater’s floating stage.
After a full day of music and food Saturday, the two-day event resumes Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the event to be capped off by the traditional fireworks Sunday at 9 p.m. The Jaycees have asked the public for fireworks contributions so the organization can continue its philanthropic service to the community.
Saturday saw floating stage music provided by Schlesinger Communications. Sunday The Bear 99.9 will present these bands starting at 3 p.m.: Jeff Orrin and Family, Ridin’ Shotgun, Bill Bud and a Girl, Clark McLane Band and Biscuit Jam.
The weatherman promises another gorgeous day for Sunday.
