Mid-State COVID-19 Cases: Clinton Holds at 55, Centre to 151, Lyco Stays at 162
HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Friday update, confirmed as of 12:00 p.m., May 29, that there are an additional 693 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 70,735. The department also reported a new death total of 5,464, an increase of 91 from Thursday.
Clinton County cases stayed at 55, Centre County up one to 151 and Lycoming County held at 162. Other counties adjoining Clinton are: Clearfield, 38; Cameron, 2; Potter, 4; and Union, 57.
There are 366,970 people who have tested negative statewide to date. The state Health Department listing said of state residents afflicted with the virus, 65 percent of them have recovered. That number of tests is 578 in Clinton County, up 17 from Thursday.
