Mid-State COVID-19 Cases: Clinton Stays at 54, Centre to 149, Lyco Holds at 161
HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Wednesday update, confirmed as of 12:00 p.m., May 27, that there are an additional 780 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 69,417. The department also reported a new death total of 5,265, an increase of 113 from Tuesday.
Clinton County cases held at 54, Centre County up one to 149 and Lycoming County holding at 161. Other counties adjoining Clinton all stayed the same over the past 24 hours: Clearfield, 37; Cameron, 2; Potter, 4; and Union, 56.
There are 349,990 people who have tested negative statewide to date. The state Health Department listing said of state residents afflicted with the virus, 62 percent of them have recovered. That number of tests is 548 in Clinton County, up four from Tuesday.
