Clinton COVID-19 Cases Stay at Eight; Centre County to 73; Lyco at 30

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Wednesday update, confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., April 16, that there are 2,390 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 27,735. The department also reported 123 new deaths among positive cases (nearly a doubling from the previous day’s report), bringing the statewide total to 707.All people are either in isolation at home or being treated at the hospital, the state health department said.

Clinton County cases held at eight; Lycoming at 30 and Centre County went up one to 73. Other counties adjoining Clinton: Clearfield, 9; Cameron, 1; Potter, 4; and Union, up two, to 25.

There are 113,735 patients who have tested negative to date. The number tested remains just over one percent of the state’s population.
