Yesterday’s on the Auction Block
Renovo’s venerable Yesterday’s Restaurant and Hotel is up for auction this Saturday.
The auction will be held at the hotel at 100 Third Street, beginning at 10 a.m. A preview Saturday will begin at 8:30 a.m. Scott A. Young of Williamsport is the auctioneer.
Current owners are Renovo area residents Gregory Lucabaugh and Gina Brooks. The auction is to include all the building contents. These include commercial restaurant equipment, railroad memorabilia, a vintage phone booth and multiple collectibles.
It is understood the owners hold the option to reject the highest bid for the building itself.
The building has a long and storied history in the west end of Renovo, dating to the heyday of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The structure later became the Renovo YMCA, then the Old Kingsley Inn and most recently, Yesterday’s Restaurant and Hotel. The business closed at the end of October this year.
As published in the auction notice:
“This property is located on a 1/3 of an acre and come with fully furnished hotel rooms, Pub area, Full Kitchen, Large Dining and Restaurant Area, Lounge, Ice Cream Parlor, Outdoor Deck with Seating, and Large Banquet Room.”
