Linda Lou (McDonald) Raymond – Obituary
Linda Lou (McDonald) Raymond, 76, of 360 E. Park Street, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2019, at her residence, with her family by her side.
Born in Renovo, PA on September 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William Cleo and Laura Emma (Stephens) McDonald.
Linda attended Bucktail High School and afterwards studied Nursing, receiving a certificate as a Nurses Aid.
She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in New Hampshire for 10 years, Lock Haven Hospital for 1 year and Susque View Home Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 13 years, retiring in 2003.
Linda was a member of St. Agnes Church in Lock Haven.
She was raised in a close-knit family, growing up with her sisters and brothers, always celebrating their time together. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Linda loved the Lord and is now home with her savior.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Jackie Tarantella of McElhattan; three sons, Robert Anthony Raymond, John Francis Raymond of Lock Haven, and Patrick Michael Raymond and his wife, Alysa of MO; a step-son, James C. Raymond of Woolrich; five grandsons, Bryan Tarantella and his wife, Annalyn, TN, Jimmy Tarantella and his wife, Carrie of NM, Sean Raymond of NH, Zack Raymond of NH, Emmett Raymond of McElhatten, and Collin Raymond of MO; three granddaughters, Laura Tarantella of Philadelphia, Adrianna Raymond of Lock Haven and Lexya Raymond of McElhatten; a step grandson, Joel Bierbaum of MO and his wife Haley; a step granddaughter, Sophie Yancik and her husband, Austin of IN; three great grandsons, Ethan Tarantella, Oliver Tarantella, and Parker Snyder; a great granddaughter, Madalynn Bowman; a brother, Kevin Charles Deeghan; a brother-in-law, Edgar Fred Munro, Jr and his fiancée’ Chrissey Motter.; sister-in-law, Diane McDonald; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her beloved cat, Maggie Mae.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Raymond; a step-father, Paul Deeghan; a son-in-law, Albert Tarantella; a granddaughter, Josephine Tarantella; four sisters, Twila Cleo Munro, Isabell Elizabeth Robinson, Ruth Ann Guizar and Debbie Marie Deeghan; three brothers, Larry Michael McDonald, Timothy Paul Deeghan and Paul Anthony Deeghan; and her faithful companion Sam “Sammers”.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 11:00 am in St. Agnes Church, 3 East Walnut St, Lock Haven, PA 17745, with Father Orr officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hyner, PA. Arrangement are in cared for by Farrow-C. J.
