Sarah W. (Crouse) Schnars – Obituary
Sarah W. (Crouse) Schnars, 88, of North Bend died Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born September 12, 1930 in Renovo a daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Dolan) Crouse.
Sarah was married 59 years to Thomas E. Schnars who died May 1, 2012.
She worked for Sylvania Electric in Emporium for 5 years and retired after 23 years with Keystone Central School District.
She was devoted to her church at St. Joseph’s in Renovo where she was a member and Cantor. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic School.
Sarah was active in the Renovo Community Choir from its conception.
Surviving are two sons; Edward T. (Billie) Schnars of McElhattan and Mark Schnars of Bellefonte also a daughter Shelley (Tom) Regis of Anderson, South Carolina.
Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers Ralph Crouse and George Crouse both of Renovo and two sisters Rosemary Fantaske of Buffalo and Regina Rhoades of Pittsburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo with the Rev. Neil Dadey officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church Improvement Fund or Bucktail Medical Center, 1001 Pine St., S. Renovo, PA 17764.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.
