Woodward Township Concert Series Starts Saturday

LOCKPORT – Woodward Township kicks off its summer Saturday concert series this Saturday, June 22, with an appearance by Banded Together in the township’s Riverview Park.

Township supervisor/chairman Kyle Coleman said the township is calling its series, “Saturday in the Park.” Woodward Township is offering three, free summer concerts, staged on the fourth Saturday in the months of June, July and August. In addition to Banded Together this Saturday, the Chris Ruble Band will perform on Saturday, July 27, and Surreal will be at the park Saturday, August 24.

Coleman said the Dunnstown Fire Company will be present with food and the Swissdale Church will be providing water. Concert hours will be 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Coleman also said the township has offered to provide its Riverview Park site for Lock Haven’s summer concert series in case high water conditions on the Susquehanna River prevent the city from staging its Sunday events at the Corman Amphitheater. If needed, Coleman said, the city this Sunday can utilize the park staging area which will be already in place for this Saturday’s Banded Together concert.
