Vera C. Lowery – Obituary

Vera C. Lowery, 80, of Renovo passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Bucktail Medical Center.

Vera was born February 25, 1938 in Renovo. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Julia (DePolis) Gakle.

Vera was married to Francis (Pat) Lowery on September 18, 1954.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Vera worked as a CNA at Bucktail Medical Center for eight years where she enjoyed taking care of her residents and was awarded employee of the month three times during her employment. Vera was always surrounded by her large family that she loved very much. She also enjoyed taking rides with her late husband and children.

Surviving are three sons, Patrick M. Lowery of Renovo, Michael I. (Karen) Lowery of Westport, and Frank E. Lowery (Susan Mills) of Farwell and three daughters, Patricia A. (Jeff) Francis of North Bend, Vickie M. Lowery (Robert Kelley) of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Christine M. (Ralph) Culver of South Renovo, along with two sisters, Laura Stuart of Harrisburg and Mary Ann (John) Tarantella of Farwell.

Vera was blessed with a substantial amount of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and even several great-great grandchildren.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Pat) Lowery and a daughter, Mary C. Lowery.

A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner. Maxwell Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. Send online condolences at HeffnerCare.com.
