Loyalsock Stuns Wildcats, 76-37
LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP – In a key PHAC matchup between Central Mountain and Loyalsock, it was a over early when the Lancers shutout the Wildcats 32-0 in the the first quarter.
The ‘Cats did manage to get back on track somewhat for the remainder of the game but there would be no catching up to the Lancers on this night.
Loyalsock held a commanding 45-15 lead at the half and coasted to a 66-24 lead after 3 quarters , though the Wildcats edged the hosts, 13-10 in the final period.
Collin Jones led the way for CM with 17 points while Conner Soo contributed 8 points. Aiden Major and Jake Skrtich scored 5 points each while Evan Baker had 2 points for the Wildcats.
Central Mountain is now 1-6 overall, 0-5 in conference play.
The Wildcats won’t have long to wait to get back into action as they will travel to Selinsgrove tomorrow night, Jan. 8 for another PHAC contest.
