Third Annual “Trash to Treasure” a Success
LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven University and the Clinton County United Way, along with many volunteers again joined forces to host the 3rd Annual Trash to Treasure (T2T) sale.
Items were donated by Lock Haven University students, as well as surrounding community members, and sold at the end of the spring semester. For a nominal $5 fee, those wishing to gain Early Bird Admission were admitted at 7:30 a.m. Doors opened at 9:00 a.m. for free admission.
T2T shoppers had the opportunity to shop for a variety of items including clothing, blankets and bedding, furniture, toys, fans, electronics, appliances, and so much more. In all, the event raised over $3,600, along with 565 food items being collected for local food banks. The event recycled electronics, plastics, books, and scrap metal, and donated furniture, clothing, bedding, and other miscellaneous items to both the Salvation Army and Goodwill locations locally. All proceeds from the sale benefit the Clinton County United Way member organizations.
The 4th Annual Trash to Treasure will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015. For more information on the annual event, how you can donate or volunteer, please contact Angela Harding at angela@clintoncountyunitedway.org.
