Keystone Little League State Championship Teams Recognized in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Oct. 15 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, was joined today in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by two local state champion Keystone Little League teams.
Speaking before his fellow lawmakers on the House floor, Hanna praised the Keystone Little League 8-10 Year-Old All-Star Baseball Team and the Keystone Major Little League 11-12 Year-Old All-Star Baseball Team for their extraordinary accomplishment being both named Pennsylvania State Little League champions.
“I cannot tell you how proud we are of your accomplishments,” Hanna said. “I can’t say enough about how well the Keystone Little League team has represented our state. We are Keystone proud.”
Based in Beech Creek, players on the teams live in Castanea, Loganton, Lock Haven and Mill Hall. It is the third time the major division team has captured the state championship.
“These communities are great representatives of small-town America and given our population size, we are continuously playing against communities larger than us,” Hanna said. “This fact and the fact that we have two state champions make this year’s Keystone story extremely remarkable.”
From the 8-10 year-old team, Hanna was joined by Manager Steve Shade, Coaches Troy Probst and Bruce Walker, and players Blake Walker, Darius Shade, Watt Probst, Jaggar Pardoe, Aiden Jones, Austin Frank, Hunter Donley, Cole Cooper, Jude MacKenzie, Hayes Miller, Nolan Cross, Evan Hardy and Austin Andrus.
From the major division team, Manager Patrick Johnson and Coaches Jason Foltz and Scott Fravel joined Hanna, as well as players Dallas Alexander, Gavin Burnell, Braylen Corter, Cayden Cluvey, Elek Fravel, Gardner Fravel, Connor Foltz, Kevin Grenninger, Gabriel Johnson, Wyatt Kramer, Brady Myers and Levi Schlesinger.
