CM Volleyball Falls to Hollidaysburg, 3-0

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain girls’ volleyball team came up on the short end of a 3-0 loss to visiting Hollidaysburg Thursday night.

The Lady Wildcats built an early lead in the first game but Hollidaysburg eventually caught up to knot the score at 15-all. Then The Lady Golden Tigers began to pull ahead and picked up a 25-19 win.

The next games were in similar fashion with CM hanging tough, with Hollidaysburg coming out on top.

Leading the way offensively for Central Mountain were Loni Duck with 6 kills and 1 ace and Jenni Skow 4 kills and 1 ace. McKenzie Hanna had 3 aces on the night.

Defensively Evie Rembold had 3 blocks while Felicia Baney contributed 2 blocks. Skow recorded 14 digs, Duck had 10. Skylar Falls had 8 digs for the Lady ‘Cats.

The Lady Wildcats held a Military Appreciation night ceremony before the game honoring action duty military and veterans. Fans were presented with flags, and heard presentations from Team Red White and Blue and Central Mountain senior, Garett Hamberger whose senior project, Raid the Mountain trail run event to benefit Team RWB.

Central Mountain will next travel to to Wellsboro on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.
