Lock Haven Concert Series Returns to West Branch; Two to Go
LOCK HAVEN – A summer of rain in Clinton County has caused alterations to the City of Lock Haven’s summer concert series. But Sunday saw near ideal weather conditions and the return of the floating stage to the West Branch of the Susquehanna.
Lock Haven native Chris Dumm drew a large crowd to the Corman Amphitheater Sunday evening. It was the first time a Sunday concert was held at the amphitheater in more than a month. The previous two concerts had been relocated to Riverview Park in Woodward Township as high water caused the city to remove the stage and relocate those concerts.
Two more riverside concerts remain on the schedule: next Saturday, Aug. 18 The Chicago Authority will perform at 5:30 p.m. in conjunction with the annual LH Jams jazz festival. Sunday, Aug. 19 will see a floating stage appearance from the Chris Ruble Band, postponed by the weather from the originally scheduled July 8. Performance time for the concluding Sunday concert is 6:30 p.m.
Two Friday night concerts remain on the schedule for Triangle Park: Aug. 17 for Big Willy and Aug. 24 for the Central Pennsylvania Community Band and the Lock Haven Community Chorus.
