LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven University held the dedication ceremony of the Poorman University Commons and Amphitheater on Monday. Stephen P. Poorman, who donated the money for the project, spoke at the event before unveiling the sign marking the area.
“My love in life has been business and music,” Poorman said, relating the commons and amphitheater to both. He and his wife Pamela Fisher Poorman performed the sign unveiling.
The university had announced in December of 2017 that Poorman and his wife had agreed to a cash and property donation which the school said includes an irrevocable residual estate pledge, donation of property and a cash pledge totaling $7.1 million dollars.
The school subsequently named its College of Business, Information Systems and Human Services after Poorman.
