Dershem Commits to Lock Haven University Softball

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain senior, Josie Dershem, has made it official by signing a letter of intent to attend Lock Haven University where she will also further her athletic career with the Bald Eagle softball program.

Dershem, a four-year starter and letter winner for the Lady Wildcats capped off her high school career totals with a .365 career batting average that included 99 hits, 13 doubles, 7 triples, 4 homers for 36 RBI. Dershem also has 36 career stolen bases to her credit and a .956 fielding percentage. Dershem also was 9-3 in the circle as a pitcher in her first two seasons with the Lady ‘Cats.

Dershem is projected to contribute as an infielder with LHU and will be working on pre-professional course of study, then pursue a medical degree to become a general surgeon.
