Bucks Best Benton, Not Lightning

FARWELL – The Bucktail Bucks battled the Benton Tigers, the intermitant rain and held their own. Though neither team was a match for lightning and thunder.
Leading 4-1 in fourth inning, the umpires halted action in the bottom of the fourth inning when lightening was spotted nearby.
There is the possibility that the game could be continued. The Benton coach was agreeable to make a return trip to Farwell on Saturday to finish the game (following the double header with Sullivan County), if need be, though this is contingent upon the Benton Athletic director agreeing to the additional expenditure for transportation. We will post an update if the game will be finished at a later date.
Next scheduled action for the Bucks will be when they host the Griffins of Sullivan County in a double header billing Saturday at 9 a.m.
