PIAA AAA Wrestling Semi-Final Round-Finals
HERSHEY – Heading into the final day of competition, only one Wildcat wrestler remains on the brackets vying for a state medal in the PIAA State Championships.
Senior, Chad Reese (160) will compete at the high school level for the last time today and will face Matthew Carr, Abington Heights in the consolation quarterfinals in his quest for a third place finish.
In all, there are only three District 6 wrestlers and one from District 4 still active in the tournament.
The only remaining District 6 wrestler still competing in the winner’s bracket is Altoona’s David Hollingshead (152) who will face TC Warner, Cumberland Valley, in the semi-finals.
Hayden Hidlay (138) , Mifflin County, will look to get past Cortlandt Schuyler, Manheim Township, while Dwayne Pepper (220), Shikellamy, will take on Fred Mantsch, Hempfield Area, in the consolation quarterfinals.
Wrestling will begin at 9 a.m. with both championship semi-finals and consolation quarterfinals conducted simultaneously. Following the Semi-final round, the consolation semi-finals will start at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The championship finals and consolation finals for third, fifth and seventh places are scheduled for 7 p.m.

152 – TC Warner, Cumberland Valley, dec. David Hollingshead, Altoona, 12-2. Hollingshead will face Josh Ortman, Parkland, in the consolation semi-final.
Consolation Quarterfinals
138 – Hayden Hidlay , Mifflin County, dec. Cortlandt Schuyler, Manheim Township, 3-2. Hidlay will face Patrick Duggan, Cumberland Valley, in the consolation semi-final.
160 – Matthew Carr, Abington Heights, dec. Chad Reese, Central Mountain, 3-1. Reese will face Bobby Fehr, Northampton, for seventh place in the consolation finals.
220 – Dwayne Pepper, Shikellamy, dec. Fred Mantsch, Hempfield Area, 9-7. Pepper will face Jake Gunning, Liberty, in the consolation semi-finals.

138 – Patrick Duggan, Cumberland Valley, dec. Hayden Hidlay, Mifflin County, 3-1. Hidlay will face Kaleb Young, Pinxsutawney, for fifth place in the consolation finals.
152 – David Hollingshead, Altoona, dec. Josh Ortman, Parkland, 4-1. Hollingshead will face Paul Dunn, Bethel Park, for third place in the consolation finals.
220 – Jake Gunning, Liberty, dec. Dwayne Pepper, Shikellamy, 5-2. Pepper will face Antonio Pelusi, LaSalle, for fifth place in the consolation finals.
