Hunt and Hinton power Bald Eagle offense, LHU off to 2-0 start
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Amir Hinton(Philadelphia/Abington) and Ra’eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) led the Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (2-0) to a victory Saturday over Penn State Wilkes-Barre Scranton (0-2) at the 2016 Wolf’s Bus Lines Classic hosted by Shippensburg University.
The Bald Eagles wrapped up the Wolf’s Bus Lines Classic with victories over Penn State Fayette and Penn State Wilkes-Barre Scranton.
Hinton was 10 of 19 from the field, he finished with 24 points and he added five steals and seven rebounds, including two offensive boards.
Ra’eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) finished with 17 points and eight rebounds.
Craig Slade (Philadelphia/Constitution) netted eight points and led all players with nine boards.
Cole Renninger (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) shot 50% from the field(4-for-8) and finished the victory with nine points, three rebounds and a steal.
The Bald Eagles shot 33.3% from the three-point line and forced 21 turnovers in the win over Penn State Wilkes-Barre Scranton.
Lock Haven hosts IUP Saturday, November 19 in the Bald Eagles home opener.
