West Branch Prevails 3-0 over Central Mountain

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain faced another tough opponent in girls’ volleyball falling 0-3 to West Branch Tuesday evening.

Struggling to settle in for the first match, CM was caught on their heels losing 25-12.

Then in the second match, the Lady Wildcats found their stride but came up short losing 25-22 to the visiting Lady Warriors.

In the third match, Central Mountain continued their improved defense against West Branch but just couldn’t get over the top finally yielding to West Branch 27-25.

Leading the way for the Lady ‘Cats were: Madelyn Bashore with 15 assists; Vanessa Soo with 3 blocks and 7 kills; Elaina Eckley recorded on ace for CM while Maegan Miller contributed 19 digs on the night.

The competition doesn’t get any easier as the Lady Wildcats travel to District 6 foe, Altoona Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016.
