William E. “Bill” Lentz – Obituary

ObitArtWilliam E. “Bill” Lentz, 93, passed peacefully at the home of his daughter, Melanie Stover, where he resided for the past 7.5 years, alongside his two ever-present and loyal cocker spaniels, Lulu Belle and Buster.

Born in Williamsport on January 14, 1921, he was the son of the late Charles and Etta McKibben Lentz.

Bill was married to the late Emma M. Sechrist.

He worked at Avco Lycoming as a Tool Design Engineer.

Bill was a very active member and past teacher at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jersey Shore.

In addition to his daughter, Melanie, Bill is survived by a son, David (Beverly) and his family of Linden.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles; his sister, Kathryn (Kitty) Kuhns; a great-great-grandson, Rylie Foster; and his son-in-law, Paul Stover.

In lieu of services, friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Bill’s Life on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 12 to 2 p.m. in the home of his daughter at 117 Oak Lane in Flemington.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
