Four Local Gymnasts Heading to States

LOCK HAVEN – Four local gymnasts qualified for the PA Classic Competition held at Moon High School on Feb. 14-15. This event serves as the Pennsylvania State Championships for high school aged gymnasts. In order to qualify for this prestigious event, each gymnast must attain certain scores through five different competitions. These gymnasts compete for the Lock Haven Area YMCA but will represent their high schools respectively. They have competed against other YMCA and Community Centers in the Central PA area. Jessica Hefferan qualified in the Bronze All Around division, Courtney Brittan for vault in the Bronze Division, and Mary Ballat and Hannah Bowes qualified in the Silver Division for the All Around.
