Berwin “Bernie” D. Martin – Obituary
Berwin “Bernie” D. Martin, 64, of 362 Little Sugar Run Rd., Beech Creek passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Haven Skilled Rehab & Nursing.
Born in Beech Creek on April 14, 1949, he was the son of the late Clarence L. and Margaret G. Walker Martin.
Bernie was a 1968 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.
He worked at numerous places throughout his life, and he was a “jack of all trades.”
Bernie attended the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church.
He was a giving person that was always willing to help people, even when he needed help himself.
Bernie was liked by all who met and interacted with him. He will be missed by everybody.
In Bernie’s final days, he knew the Lord and knew that he was going home.
He is survived by a brother, Bruce of Florida; two sisters, Beverly J. Miller of Flemington and Brenda Shipton of Jersey Shore; numerous nieces and nephews; Donald “Tubby” Weaver, who he viewed as a son; and his loving dog and companion, Mitzy.
In addition to his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by a brother, Byron D. Martin.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
