LHU’s Neff Tabbed as No. 15 Seed

lhu-matsLOCK HAVEN – The brackets for the 2016 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships have been announced and Dan Neff of the Lock Haven University wrestling team has been tabbed as the No. 15 seed at 149 pounds.

Neff, the No. 15 seed at 149 takes on Bucknell’s Victor Lopez in his opening match. Lopez is 28-12 on the season.

Neff is headed to his fourth NCAA Tournament and the returning All-American is 26-8 on the season. He’s riding a 19-match win streak and hasn’t lost since moving back up to 149 pounds on December 17, 2015. Neff started the season at 141.

Phil Sprenkle is set for his first career NCAA Tournament appearance. He’s 18-7 on the season and drew No. 8 seed Aaron Studebaker (21-9) of Nebraska in the opening round.

The 2016 NCAA Division I Championships are set for March 17-19 (Thursday-Saturday) at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
