Hanna Seeks Re-election

LOCK HAVEN – State Rep. Mike Hanna (D-Lock Haven) announced Tuesday his candidacy for reelection as 76th District Representative.
Hanna has served the district since 1991 and has been the Democratic Whip for four years.
His candidacy announcement said, “As the nation’s economy begins to rebound from the great recession, Pennsylvania is uniquely positioned to lead the recovery. I want to be part of building economic opportunity for all of our citizens. As a member of the House Democratic leadership team, I want to continue to fight for our workers and create jobs with family sustaining wages.
“We can strengthen our labor force by making public education a top priority and passing legislation to reverse the devastating cuts imposed by our Governor over the last three budgets. That’s why I have sponsored a Marcellus Shale extraction tax, legislation to close the Delaware tax loophole and roll back the Corporate Stock and Franchise Tax. These commonsense measures would insure that large corporations pay their fair share and raise a billion dollars for the state to reinvest in public education – lowering property tax increases and providing the resources to properly train our workforce.”
Hanna is the county’s longest serving state representative, now in his twelfth term.
The 76th district includes all of Clinton County and the eastern third of Centre County.
