Men’s Basketball wraps up regular season with loss at ESU
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team wrapped up the 2015-16 regular season today with a 107-86 loss at East Stroudsburg University (19-6, 15-6 PSAC).
The Bald Eagles finished the 2015-16 regular season at 12-14 overall and were 8-14 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play. The defeat was the ninth in the last 11 games for injury-plagued LHU which started the season with an 8-2 record but finished with a 3-game losing streak.
Despite today’s loss, LHU has clinched a spot in the PSAC playoffs for the third straight season and will play a First Round game on Saturday, February 27 (opponent, location & game time TBD).
Leading the way today for LHU was Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) and Dave Garcia (Scotrun, Pa./Pocono Mt. East), who both netted 14 points apiece. Jackson added five rebounds.
Tracy Peal (Wilmington, Del./Archbishop John Carroll) added 13 points and seven rebounds.
Ra’eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) netted 12 points and Shawn Church (Ridley, Pa./Ridley) and Craig Slade (Philadelphia/Constitution) each scored nine.
