LHU Drops Home Matchup with East Stroudsburg
LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (10-8 6-8 PSAC) dropped a home matchup with East Stroudsburg University (14-3, 10-3 PSAC), 102-84 tonight at Thomas Field House. The loss was the third in a row for LHU, five of the last six.
Shawn Church (Ridley, Pa./Ridley) helped keep the Bald Eagles in the game for most of the night, scoring a LHU career-high 21 points on 8-14 shooting from the field.
Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) used his athleticism to get to the free throw line all night, finishing 10-14 at the line. He finished with 18 points eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Lamin Fulton (Philadelphia/Neumann Goretti) netted 13 points and Al Blount (Allentown, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) added 12 off the Bald Eagle bench.
Lock Haven jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but East Stroudsburg quickly took control with a 10-0 run and the Warriors never trailed again. Despite LHU’s efforts in the second half, ESU was able to pull away late for the win.
Rasheed Moore led five Warriors in double-figures with 19 points.
LHU returns to action on Saturday, January 23 at 4 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host West Chester.
