Home Rehabilitation Grants
LOCK HAVEN – The City of Lock Haven is working with the United States Department of Agriculture-Rural Development (USDA) to help residents of Lock Haven and surrounding communities in Clinton County obtain grants or loans to help rehabilitate their homes. Repairs may include: new roof, windows, insulation, heating systems, up-grade wiring, handicap accessibility, etc.
If you are 62 or older, own your home and your household income is below 50% of the area median income you may qualify for a maximum grant of $7,500 for repairs to your home. Grant monies do not have to be paid back. If you are less than 62 years old you may qualify for a maximum loan of $20,000 at a 1% interest rate.
The public is invited to attend a meeting on July 30, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lock Haven Council Chambers, Lock Haven City Hall, 20 East Church Street, Lock Haven. A USDA representative will be present to further explain what is necessary to obtain a grant and/or loan and also will help you with the application if you qualify.
