LHU’s Henson named Co-MAC East Men’s Wrestler of the Week
CLEVELAND, Ohio– Lock Haven men’s wrestling standout Wyatt Henson was named the Co-Mid-American Conference (MAC) Eastern Division Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
Henson, who is ranked No. 22 nationally at 141 pounds, went a perfect 2-0 last week with a pair of bonus-point victories in the Bald Eagles’ duals at No. 21 Wisconsin and Northwestern.
Henson earned a tech fall over Wisconsin’s Carson Exferd (21-6), before picking up a ranked victory by downing Northwestern’s No. 27 Billy Dekraker (13-4) major decision.
In the MAC December Individual rankings, Henson was ranked second at 141.
Up Next:
Lock Haven (2-3 overall) is off until after the new year when it travels to Clifton Park, New York to compete in the Journeymen Armbar at the Armory against Binghamton and Princeton.
