Obituary – Barbara J. Pettingill
Barbara J. Pettingill, 88, of Lock Haven, passed away Friday, January 7, 2025 at Lock Haven Rehab and Senior Living.
Born in Indiana, PA on May 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Freda M. Fetterman Williard.
Barbara was a graduate of Purchase Line High School, Commodore, PA.
She was employed at Lock Haven Hospital as a housekeeper for 35 years before her retirement at age 72.
Barbara enjoyed nature, especially her flowers and plants and feeding the squirrels and birds. She loved her family and would spend hours on the phone with her sisters. Her grandchildren always had a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her seven children, Lisa A. (Glenn Miller) Pettingill of Lock Haven, Richard D. “Chip” (Joanne) Pettingill of Jersey Shore, Charles J. “Jamie” (Karen) Pettingill of Lock Haven, Michael A. (Misty) Pettingill of Rote, Susan R. (Stanley) Rickert of Clintondale, Jodi M. (Devan) Guillaume of Jersey Shore and Tammy J. (Matt) Fausey of Jersey Shore; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Delores Webb, David “Bud” Williard and Margaret Evans; a grandson, Caleb Pettingill; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Pettingill.
Per the wishes of Barbara, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
