Obituary – Carol Jean Tripp

Carol Jean Tripp, 76, of South Renovo, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born January 28, 1948 in Renovo, she was the daughter of the late James and Daisy (Emery) Moore.

On January 23, 1965, she married Keith Allen Tripp, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of marriage.

She was employed at Piper Aircraft and then in the cafeteria at Renovo Elementary School.

Carol attended First United Methodist Church, Renovo.

She was a member of Citizens Hose Ladies’ Auxiliary of South Renovo as well as the Judge of Elections for South Renovo Borough.

Carol excelled at baking, cooking and sewing. She was a fan of the show General Hospital. She enjoyed taking trips to their camp in Keating and going on drives in the woods looking for deer.

Carol’s porch was a special place not only for her but the many who shared time there. She loved feeding the rabbits and deer who visited her often.

Most important to Carol, though, was her family. She lived for her grandchildren, attending various sporting events for Central Mountain High School as well as Southern Columbia and Bloomsburg Huskies football games and Penn State Blue Band events.

In addition to her husband, Keith A. Tripp of South Renovo, she is survived by her sons, Keith A. (Dana) Tripp, II of Catawissa and Kevin G. (Sue) Tripp of Flemington; her brother, James (Dorothy) Moore of Emporium; grandchildren: Josh (Lauren), Shane, Brock, Jaelyn and Jacey; and her beloved grandpups: Millie, Roxie and Lexi.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1 PM at First United Methodist Church of Renovo, 127 7th St., Renovo, PA 17764 with Pastor Martha Sykes officiating. Private inurnment will be at North Bend Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of the service.
