Free New Shoes and Boots for Kids December 14

The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank gave out winter boots last month, but it’s not too late for eligible families to get boots. The Shoe Bank will be open Saturday, Dec. 14, inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44-46 W. Main St., by appointment only.

Kids and teens from wee ones through high school seniors can choose a pair of free new boots plus new shoes, new socks, new books, and a Christmas gift. Everything is free.

The Shoe Bank serves families in Clinton County and the Liberty-Curtin Elementary School area who have Compass.

To book your appointment, text or call Diahann at 814-571-5324, any weekday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. If you find you cannot keep your appointment, be sure and let her know. You may call or text as late as the morning of Dec. 14, in case there is a cancellation, but it’s best to contact Diahann ahead of time.

Funding is provided by the Clinton County Community Foundation, the M&T Bank Charitable Foundation, civic groups, churches, and individual donors.

Kids and teens can get free new boots and shoes at the Shoe Bank on Saturday, Dec. 14. Wearing their new boots are, from left, Francisco, Grayson and Arabella Betancourt, and Aidan McCue.
